People Are One

Q: Humans are split into nations. Every nation resides in its own country. What's so wrong about it?

A: First, people are not naturally split into, but deliberately kept in separate nations by the chiefs of their tribes. Second, there is no such thing as national unity.

Let's examine the first statement. Undoubtedly, people in every country do have some kind of punishment for thieves and murderers. This means that all communities are equally opposed to thievery and murder. Instead, they equally encourage life, marriage, labor, bringing up kids and running a home. There is no difference between peoples in telling a basic good from basic bad. The only difference between peoples of neighboring countries lies in their habits. These, however, are mainly preserved by the mass-media owners, not by ordinary working humans. And media are a part of the stick-and-carrot-wagging minority. (If you don't agree with this, measure the amount of your personal control over CNN against the amount of control they exercise over millions.)

"Habits" here mean history, fairy lore and the language itself. We are brought up to be proud of them and thus their slaves. Since the day we are born we start absorbing blocks of future pride. We are taught quotes by famous authors saying that our language is the best. We are constantly reminded of heroes who died for our homeland 10, 100 or a 1,000 years ago. On TV we are shown persons who admire our country — these TV guys look, sound and think so much like real persons. Their message carries a hint: your last question was answered in school; doubt is insane; good boys and girls unconditionally enjoy the way things are. Sometimes we are directly advised to love our state.

There is a problem with this. When we hear another tale of a brave warrior who fell for 'our' country, why not think that most probably he was defending his own life or his own family? Why not ask whether this guy actually existed? Why not realize that right now in a country next to ours people like us are being told exactly the same stories of heroes, homeland and pride. Finally, no matter why that warrior from a history textbook chose to die, each of us has his or her own life right here and right now. And each Self knows that it is concerned neither with the stretch of 'my' country's borderline, nor with the oil some other state 'owns', nor with the name of a governor of this country as long as he keeps the tradition of robbing those who work. Is anybody willing to die for cowards, murderers, liars and robbers like Ariel Sharon, George Bush or Saddam Hussein? The only reasonable objective for a human is to live (not to die) as meaningful as possible, causing the least imaginable harm to the world, playing the least possible role in the schemes of the powers that be. Imagine how fine it could be if more people would refuse to be doing what they personally don't want to do. Before this, however, we all need to learn to distinguish perfectly between what we want and what we are expected to want.

Every state is nothing but a gang on steroids. There are workers, managers, R&D, financial dept and, finally, security services, who rape others the way they want—because they can kill. Like in every firm, the only class that produces something is workers. All the others are parasites on their necks who in bulk quantities invent explanations of why their presence is necessary. They use my and your labor to decorate their lives far beyond plain bread and water, though they produce nothing. Lucky and not numerous are those who can travel and live the way they want. The majority of us are involved in a scheme called wage slavery. We pay taxes to feed an horde of security providers, and people, who tell us what to want. We pay taxes as a price for not being in jail. The pocketful of change we are left with is meant to cover the communal bills, credits and mortgages. We work to keep the state running, not vice versa. And the state operators apparently don't want us to let the spade go.

THE CASE OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL

Let's take a close look at the Jewish state of Israel. Supposedly, the citizens of this state are Jews, but they are not in reality. It's nearly impossible to find a Jew in Israel — each person almost inevitably defines herself as a member of a different nationality. This nationality might be called "secular" or "religious", "ashkenazi" or "sfaradi"; "new repatriate", "repatriate" or "native". There are "Ethiopians", "Russians" and "Georgians"; "battle soldiers" and "jobniks"; "northerners" and the others; supporters of soccer teams "Beitar Yerushalaim" or "McCabi Haifa". No Jews until it comes to the issues of expansion, warfare, violence, duty, forefathers and similar sacred cows.

There is no productive cause to justify the existence of Israel. It has no value for the planet. (Historical monuments fall into the realm of geography, not politics, and we're speaking about the state, not the country.) This state is kept alive by the phantom of animosity and hatred. Hence the foundation of Israeli politics: peace is suicide for the state. Not for the ordinary people — for the state operators like ministers, generals and industrial moguls. If it were not so, the state of Israel would have never appeared on the map. Jews would still be living off of their olive trees and paying taxes to Arab or English landlords without any wars. Alas, Zionism is originally designed to satisfy the greed of the military by hands of the meek.

I believe that Israel is nothing but an immense money laundering facility for the "developed" imperialist countries where wealthy Jews directly run or influence economics and politics. Israeli Jews are nothing but a disguise: they make it look like a real country with a cause. Nobody does or will ever care about them—if the shop is exhausted, they will be left to their own devices and to the Arabs with good memory.

Now the army robs each Israeli of up to 45% of his earnings — this is called taxes. All the rest an Israeli is forced to hand in to the retired generals who own banks, electric and telephone companies. His only consolation is that he lives as a proud Jew in the only Jewish state in the world. For this consolation to work, Jewishness must be meaningful and weighty. This weight is derived from fear: every single Israeli is taught since the moment she is born that everyone in the world hates Jews. This fear is a primary source of nutrition for the security establishments, so they turn people into clots of proud fright from the start. Kids are conditioned by scary tales of monstrous Germans, abominable Romans, barbarous Greeks and disgusting Arabs. A conventional Israeli is cultured to become totally blind to the fact that his own country is performing monstrous, abominable, barbarous and disgusting acts towards both neighboring nations and himself — at his own expense. Israelis are pressed by the public eye to stand all deprivations just because they are Israelis. It is an 'honor'. People who move to live elsewhere do not receive a hearty farewell in the only Jewish state of the world.

Frankly, the state of Israel contradicts itself. Its original purpose was to gather all Jews in the promised of land. But who is a Jew? It stands to reason that a Jew is a person who believes in just this God, Who gave to His people just this Sacred Book containing just these Commandments. Among the Commandments there is the one that says "You will not kill". However, the state of Israel has developed quite an army! Among the objectives of this army there is the one of killing people (let alone destroying their houses and stealing their land). Excuse me guys, either you are Jewish, or you have your army! If you choose the army, you lose the Jewishness. That simple. And since you acknowledge your being gentile, you have no right for this land — it was promised to the Jews, not Israelis. This is quite logical, isn't it? But in Israel there are very few people who can think straightforwardly. That's another foundation of the state of Israel. People are conditioned to oversee such simple facts as the following one: it is only in Israel that Jews are massacred so regularly in such quantities. Or another: the state of Israel cannot approve of any place on Earth where Jews will feel fine — this would undermine the state of Israel. Which, on a wider scale can be generalized to the yet another simple truth: the state of Israel cannot allow Jews to feel fine, no matter where they are. Do yourself a favor: read T H I S.

The only way to have peace in the Middle East is to have the state of Israel dismissed. The existing Palestinian authority will quickly lose any sense when left without Israeli army, Shabac and Mossad who maintain it. Both Jewish and Arabic productive population will finally be able to realize that there is no reason for hatred between them; that they want the same: good houses, fulfilment and solid tomorrow. Those Jewish citizens who want to live close to important places like Jerusalem, Tzfat, Tveria or Shkhem, can easily stay and live here — physical cities, tombs and temples have nothing to do with the regime. Those who enjoy the fascist state, can cross the ocean and have it.

Israel was too vivid an example not use. There is a chance that the scheme 'fear+defense+pride' works equally fine in your own state, be it a G7 member or an African country.

Q: But if the world is working this way, perhaps, this is the only viable solution? Other manners probably just don't work at all.

A: Did we ever try to live without mass-media, armies or prime-ministers? How can we know that borders, taxes and defense are better for us, if we had never had any choice? Some things in life are decided by each of us personally, without any advice or trust in others. Most likely, choice of your life circumstances is one of those things. Since the age of 16, 18 or 21 each of us is encouraged and expected to make individual decisions. At the the same time being prevented from using this right. We have spent quite a good deal of time living the way of the majority — let's try living some other way for a change. Just for a year: no taxes, no borders, no armies, no enemies, no governments. If it does not work, we can continue along the usual path. Why not try it and get something to compare our present life to, just to be sure that our world is flawless? This would be true democracy.

* What will happen to the enemies? First, it has been said, that armies and governments will be frozen for a year—and it is them, who blow up your towers and shoot your school-kids so that you pay more for security. Who else has trained professionals and enough of munition? Second, with no borders, how can there be any territorial wars? No terrorist in his right mind can be willing to blow up anything in his own home. And without borders, entire Earth is his home.

Q: What was it about a nation as a non-existent entity?

A: A nation is something united and opposed to other nations. Supposedly, a nation unites people of one religion, one language and one goal.

If each modern nation is clung together around goals, then all people on Earth are one nation: we all want peace, love and happiness. In this case, we cannot be opposed to anything on Earth and thus can't be called even one nation anymore.

If nations are about religion, their days are over, too. We are not living in the year 1095 to put religions so high in our priorities list. Besides, if you strip off clothes from a Roman Catholic, a Baptist, an Orthodox and a Buddhist, you will be stunned — so shockingly same they are.

As for the language, it is guarded by mass-media owners and government to keep all the citizens equally delirious, or deliriously equal. We all must understand advertisements, news and school books to grow up into faithful and tame taxpayers. Without TV or radio, a San-Franciscan and a Bostonian would not be able to understand each other now, as well as two guys from Calais and Marseille.

When we observe a nation, securely wrapped into the borders, we see a handful of very prosperous clans and a vast majority of working folks hardly in possession of anything. Does it look like even distribution? Imagine a human body where 99% of blood is in exclusive service of the stomach. Such body will not function properly for a long time. An ideal nation is a perfect whole, just like a body. In an ideal nation there is nothing like an athlete buying another mansion, while his compatriot kids are starving in some Dirtyholeburg. Everyone contributes to the common cause. We don't see this—hence no nation.

Paradoxically, nations held together by similar goals do exist and opposed to the rest of the world, yet they have nothing to do with geography. There is a nation of defense contractors, a nation of pop stars, a nation of dentists, lawyers, and so on.

One last point. If the world without nations looks somewhat uncozy and is too huge to comprehend, think of it as a place with three nations altogether: humans, animals and plants :)

Q: So your point is 'all the people sharing all the world', right? Another utopia—

A: It remains utopia until the majority realizes, that there is either this, or something really gruesome, like mass extermination. What is more important, there is nothing for you personally to lose. Look, you have no protection today, because your protectors will not hesitate to 'neutralize' you, should they receive such an order—remember Waco? Mass-media will say you were a terrorist—and your neighbors will celebrate the date of your death as another Independence Day.

Real terrorists are those who kill people by means of entire armies; those who keep feeding Kids with Transformers and baseball. These guys speak your language, rule your country and absorb your taxes. They overtly rob you. They call themselves ministers of something. They keep you safe, clean, and ignorant in your pen, and let you consume till you explode—geese are fed with unlimited walnuts and peanuts just before they appear on the table.

These gun-toting guys don't protect you from anything. I mean, are there no robbers, no drug-related criminals, no murderers? Guns are not present in your country? Funny thing is that all those security mobsters just fail to cope with their tasks. And you pay them salary. Normal employers will not tolerate slacks. You are an employer for the military and the police, so sack them! Can't? OK, better luck next time. If you are working each day to cover your body's needs, there is nothing for you to lose. You just don't have anything.

Next thing humanity is bound to do is to realize its unity, its being a whole, not a bunch of separate closed societies. Remember Colossians, 3:11? Will you agree that Greek can be such only as long as there is Greece (put any nationality and country in this phrase)? Division is mundane, unity divine.

Q: I don't know… You say the state is bad… But anyway it organizes living and brings in order. Thanks to the state, people aren't scared of many things anymore.

A: Sheep don't need to fear wolves, when protected by dogs and shepherds. You might agree, however, that sheep pay dearly for this kind of quiet.

"Brings in order", you say. A deck of cards is an extremely ordered unit, but its order is of no use for the cards themselves. All those aces and twos are only playing a role designed by the deck owner. He uses his cards when he either wishes to have fun or to make some cash. To bring something to rights you must be outside this something. Then you can systematize your object according to your own vision. This is exactly the way our society is ordered: we are the object, 'democratic' rulers are subjects. They are above this order. And they make this order for themselves, not for you. We have never been asked whether their rules suit us. Coffee is never asked, whether it wants to be swallowed.

The sad thing about this human condition is choice being hidden away. We are deftly led to conclude, that choice is finite; that some things just are. Well, they are not. In the world there is nothing to be taken for granted.

We can choose between countries to live in and/or be citizens of. But how about choosing between a citizenship and no citizenship? Imagine: all by yourself in a fabulous state-free space, with no money, no insurance, no documents, no numbers, no levies, no elections. Yes, life outside could be very short and miserable, but it would be your truly own life, lived in the utmost accord with yourself.

Our slavery is taken for granted—both by us and the masters. We are not even supposed to realize, that our life goes on in a narrow corridor. When we are given a choice between a life within a state and a life without it, we can start speaking about freedom, democracy and human rights. Until then, we are plain cheap cattle.
